Fraser Murray reportedly considering Hibs exit with Championship club leading transfer chase

Fraser Murray is reportedly considering leaving Hibs in order to get more regular first team football.

And Dunfermline are understood to be in poll position after Murray enjoyed a successful loan spell at East End Park.

The Herald claim that the Premiership club would be keen to keep Murray at Easter Road, but the 22-year-old is unlikely to get the regular game time he desires in Leith.

Murray, 22, made 31 appearances in all competitions for the Pars last season, scoring six times and providing two assists.

He helped fire the east End Park club into the promotion play-offs, but they were knocked out at the first stage by local rivals Raith Rovers.

Stevie Crawford resigned from his position shortly after that result and has since been replaced by Peter Grant.

However, the ex-Alloa boss has previous for taking Hibs kids on loan, having has Innes Murray at the Indodrill Stadium last year.

Namesake Fraser remains under contract at Hibs until 2023 but has yet to nail down a regular first team place since making his debut five years ago.

It's also thought that Dunfermline would face competition from clubs in English League Two.
