Fraser Forster Celtic transfer latest as Ralph Hasenhuttl gives update on Southampton keeper's future

Ralph Hasenhuttl insists Southampton are undecided over Fraser Forster's future.

Celtic reportedly had agreed a season-long loan deal for the keeper, with an option to buy next summer, but it's claimed he has opted to fight for his place at St. Mary's next season.

And Saints boss Hasenhuttl says the 32-year-old's future remains up in the air.

Asked what the club's plans are for Forster, he said: "We have not decided what we do next season with our plans in this direction.

“Of our loan players, some did a very good job there and it’s also clear that loan players don’t want to go again on loan.

“Normally they want to go permanently somewhere and we will find the right solution for every player in the summer. When the right moment is to discuss it, then we do it.”

Forster was a stand out performer for Celtic last season and his return to Parkhead is a priority for the club this summer.

But Neil Lennon might be forced to look elsewhere with Joe Hart and David Marshall among the names linked with a move to Glasgow.
