Franz Ferdinand Glasgow Hydro gig: Everything you need to know

Franz Ferdinand have announced their Glasgow, re-scheduled tour date.

The 'Take Me Out' singers were due to perform in the OVO Hydro on April 5 2022. This was re-scheduled and will now take place on November 10, 2022.

With frontman Alex Kapranos, the band formed in Glasgow back in 2001 and rose to fame with 'Take Me Out' in 2004. Along with Alex, the band is now made up of Julian Corrie, Dino Bardot and Bob Hardy.

In 2001, Audrey Tait from Rutherglen replaced Paul Thomson as drummer. The homecoming gig will celebrate 20 years of Franz Ferdinand following the release of their greatest hits compilation Hits to the Head, which came out in March 2022.
