The sister of a young Leeds man has issued a heartfelt appeal after not hearing from him for days amid fears he has been followed.

The spoke to him over the phone at 4pm on the same day.

Gabby said: "He was upset and emotional and had to rush off the phone. He said on the phone he was being followed and he had to rush off the phone.

Reece was last seen in Headingley, according to sister Gabby (Godward family)

"Since then his phone has been off and no contact has been made, which is very unusual for Reece, as he always has to know where my mum is and to make sure she’s OK, as she’s just had an operation.

"This is not like Reece at all."

Gabby said they last heard of Reece being in Headingley, wearing grey cotton shorts, a black North Face jacket, a man bag and a hat.

"We need you home Reece. Mum and I are worried sick, we haven’t eaten or slept - we need you home," Gabby said.

She added that West Yorkshire Police have been informed.

The family are originally from Bradford.

A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said: "Police in Leeds are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Reece Godward and would encourage anyone with information about his whereabouts to call us on 101 or via the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting log reference 722 of 22 September."
