Frantic sister's desperate plea to find brother after Leeds prison release

A Leeds woman has issued a heartfelt appeal to find her younger brother who has been missing for a week.

Maciej Soltys, 21, was released from Armley Prison on Monday, October 11, but hasn't made contact with his family since.

His family are growing increasingly frantic, saying it isn't like him to not get in touch.

Sister Agata, 25, told LeedsLive: "Nobody has seen him from last Monday. One week is definitely too long.

"Maciej is just a young lad who lost his way. He doesn't do anything horrible. How can we feel in this kind of situation? We are terrified.

"We want to find him and keep helping him to sort his life out. He is and he will always be a part of our family."

Agata has been in touch with Maciej's case officer but has not been able to determine when he left Armley.

Maciej and Agata are based in Beeston in Leeds.

Agata said she informed West Yorkshire Police about Maciej's disappearance on Thursday, October 14.
