Frantic search to find missing Aberdeen schoolgirl

A 10-year-old girl has gone missing in Aberdeen.

was last seen at 9.45am on Wednesday in the city's .

She has not been spotted, or been in contact with anyone, since this time.

said they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for the missing girl.

She was last seen wearing her school uniform of black trousers, a white shirt, .

Police described her as African, around 4ft 9in, with long, black, braided hair.

Officers said she has links to the Aberdeenshire village of Drumoak.

Inspector Mark Stephen said: "Along with her family, we are becoming increasingly concerned for 's welfare and are eager to locate her as soon as possible.

"As part of our inquiries we're keen to hear from anyone who may have seen, or spoken to Alfreda, since Wednesday morning.

"She may be using public transport around the Aberdeen area, however, she was last seen on foot."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 0823 of September 11.
