Frantic search launched for two missing schoolkids who haven't been seen since last night

A frantic search has been launched for a missing schoolboy and girl who haven't been seen since last night.

Kyeron Rees Polden, 12, and Mercedes Mia Scott, 11 were last spotted on Stonehaven High Street in Aberdeenshire at around 7pm on Monday, September 19. Officers searching for the pair are appealing for information.

Kyeron is described as 5ft 2in, slim, brown curly hair, wearing a black North Face hooded top, joggers and black trainers with a black rucksack. Mercedes Mia Scott is described as 4ft 10in tall, slim, fair/blonde hair, wearing grey North Face jacket, blue denim shorts and a blue crop top.

Mercedes panicked mum posted on social media as she pled for her daughter to come home.

She said: "Anyone seen my Mercedes? Hasn't shown up to the bus stop in Stonehaven her and her friend both have there phones off. Anyone sees her contact me ASAP. Wearing black jeans and grey Northface jumper with a boy pal of hers."

She later added: "Boy she is with phone signal flashed up in Livingston at 8.30am this morning. Please everyone share I need her home."

Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts, or who may be able to help trace the pair is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3420 of September 20.
