Frantic search for Scots dad who vanished with phone off as family 'extremely worried'

A frantic search has been launched for a missing Fife dad who has vanished with his phone turned off.

David Sneddon's family are 'extremely worried' about his welfare and they have launched an online appeal in a desperate bid to try and find him. The 42-year-old last spoke to his daughter Chloe at 10am on Thursday morning.

Since then nobody has heard from him and his phone has been turned off. Chloe, from Kelty, is worried about her father's welfare and she is appealing for anyone who knows where he is to get in touch.

David is described as a bald, white man who is 6ft 4in tall. It's understood police are carrying out enquiries as they search for him.

In a post on Facebook last night, Chloe asked: "Has anyone seen my dad David Sneddon? 6ft 4in I was the last person to hear from him at 10 this morning his phone is off and nobody has seen or heard from him since this morning.

"I am EXTREMELY worried about him and just want to know if he’s okay. Dad if you see this please just get in touch."

This morning Chloe added: "No news guys apparently nobody knows where he is still.

"This post has had nearly a thousand shares there’s no way someone who knows where my dad is hasn’t seen this.

"If you’re with him or can contact him please just ask him to reach out am actually losing ma mind here."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed David was reported missing to officers in Fife last night and they are carrying out enquiries to trace him.
