Frantic search for missing Scots woman ends as officers find her safe and well

Police are appealing for help in tracing a Scots woman reported missing over 24 hours ago.

North East Police has issued an appeal to track down Carol Russell, also known as Raine Russell, after she was last seen in Elgin at around 3pm on Sunday, June 12.

Officers say Carol is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, medium build with long brown hair and was last seen wearing a long white dress.

They are asking for the public's help to track down Carol and say they are becoming 'concerned.'

Sergeant Kate Costin of Forres police station said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Carol’s welfare and are asking for the public's assistance to help trace her.

“If you think you may have seen Carol or have any information on her whereabouts, please contact us as soon as possible.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via 101 quoting incident number 0102 of Monday, 13 June, 2022.
