A frantic search is underway to trace a missing OAP who vanished during the early hours of the morning in his pyjamas. Harold Heeley, 96, disappeared at 5.55am today dressed in just a navy blue dressing gown, light blue pyjamas and dark blue slippers.
The last sighting of the pensioner was in in the Bankhead area of Blairgorwrie in Perth and Kinross. He has not been seen or heard from since.
Harold, who has hearing problems, has also left home without his hearing aids, so may not be able to hear his surroundings. The nonagenarian is described as 5ft8in tall, of a slim build and with white hair.
Police Scotland have launched a search operation to try and trace the pensioner. Officers have urged members of the public to check sheds and outbuildings in case Harold has sought shelter.
Sergeant James Longden said: “Harold has left his home without the clothing he needs to be away for any length of time and concerns are growing for his welfare. He has left his hearing aids behind so may hear what is going on around him.
"I am urging anyone who has seen Harold or knows where he might be to get in touch with us immediately. If you are out and about please keep an eye out for Harold. I am also asking people to check their sheds and outbuildings in case Harold has sought shelter.”
