Frantic search for missing Drumchapel dad James Coyle goes into sixth week

The frantic search for a missing dad from Drumchapel has gone into its sixth week.

James Coyle was last seen on November 29 on Sollas Place.

Extensive searches have been carried out to find the 34-year-old, including stop-and-speak operations at three locations in Glasgow.

Traffic patrols stopped drivers at Great Western Road near Manor Road and at Duntreath Avenue near to Sollas Place, whilst officers on foot patrol spoke to members of the public on the canal banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal and in the Peterson Park area.

Over 500 people were spoken to by officers as part of the operation.

James' loved ones have also been carrying out regular searches of the local area.

His disappearance has been described as 'totally out of character'.

A post on a social media page dedicated to his safe return says: "James Coyle is still missing, and now approaching five weeks, we will not give up on the search to bring him home to his mum, son and family."

Anyone with information regarding James’s whereabouts should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 0055 of 2 December 2020.
