Panicking French shoppers are stockpiling Irn-Bru amid fears of a no-deal Brexit.
While Scottish politicians are worried about the impact of leaving the EU on sales of Scottish whisky, it seems continental visitors have been focusing on our other national drink.
Ticketing firm Direct Ferries has unearthed evidence French tourists have been stocking up on the soft drink during trips to the UK.
Latest Calais to Dover booking data shows customer day trips from France are up seven per cent year on year.
And a customer poll reveals that more than three-quarters of French customers said they would be bringing back British food and drink.

More than half said that in the wake of Brexit concerns, they would be bringing back more than usual. Irn-Bru was the third most sought-after item for the tourists after tea and pork pies.
Sean Cornwell, CEO of Direct Ferries, said: “We expected to see a surge in cross-channel day trippers with UK customers filling their boots with tariff-free French food.
“What has surprised us is that our data and customer poll show an increase in demand from French day trippers who are stocking up on their favourite British delicacies and enjoying their last chance of classic British meals.”
Some British shoppers have also been stockpiling amid the Brexit uncertainty.
Last week, Morrisons confirmed they had seen a “small amount” of stockpiling affecting sales.
