Frantic family in tiny boat crash into Russian tycoon’s gigantic £360m superyacht

The moment a family in a tiny boat squared up to an enormous mega yacht owned by a billionaire before frantically trying to get away has gone viral.

The hilarious incident was filmed off the coast of Galicia, Spain, where Russian industrialist Andrey Melnichenko's gigantic vessel was in the water.

The enormous super-yacht is owned by the 49-year-old Russian industrialist, who Forbes says is worth an estimated £13 billion.

The huge £360million vessel, known as Sailing Yacht A, is one of the largest in the world.

In the video, which has been shared on social media, a small boat is seen to get close to the side of the mega yacht.

But the boat soon veers into the ship's hull before colliding with it, while children on board can be heard shouting at the red-faced captain.

As he tries to frantically steer away from the gargantuan boat, bemused crew members can be seen looking out, no doubt gobsmacked by the little vessel.

In the clip they eventually steer out of the way of the ship and sail off into the waters.

Andrey Melnichenko's gigantic ship has three 300ft masts, eight floors, a helicopter pad and an underwater observation room.

Melnichenko’s custom-built luxury vessel is one of the largest and most advanced superyachts in the world.

The ship was designed by French interior designer Philippe Starck.

Project director, Dirk Kloosterman said when it was first delivered: "This has been the most challenging assignment of my career.

"I am confident Sailing Yacht A will be the world’s greatest yacht in terms of design and technology for the years ahead."
