Franklin Street bridge to be raised Friday for maintenance work

The Chicago Department for Transportation announced they will be lifting the Franklin Street Bridge starting 9:30 a.m. Friday.

They will be performing maintenance work and the bridge will be lifted for “brief” intervals to minimize traffic delays, officials said.

The work will be complete by 2 p.m., officials said.
