Frankie Kent vows to be a manager’s dream and a fans’ favourite at Hearts

Frankie Kent has vowed to be a manager’s dream - and a fans’ favourite - after joining Hearts.

The former Arsenal youngster has penned a three-year deal with the Jambos, who paid a six-figure fee to prise the defender from the final year of his Peterborough United contract.

The 27-year-old played nearly 200 games for the Posh after joining from Colchester United in 2019.

And the London-born stopper is determined to now bring his no-nonsense style to Tynecastle and Scottish football.

He said: “It’s brilliant, I’m so, so happy to be here. I’m well excited.

“I’m looking forward to getting going. Obviously, it’s a quick turn around from everything that’s gone on in the last couple of days.

“But I’m looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into everything and getting going.

“Hopefully I can go into the first game of the season full of confidence.

“I’m hard-working. I feel like you know what you’re going to get from me.

“I try to play out on the ball but I know that first and foremost I’m a defender and I need to be doing that well.

“I’ll give 100 per cent in each game. I’ll get on the ball and try to build attacks and basically just try to do whatever the manager asks me to do, to the best of my ability.”
