Frankie Bridge says living with her in-laws is 'no brainer' and 'doesn't bother' her

Frankie Bridge has an unusual living arrangement.

She lives with her husband Wayne Bridge's parents Wendy and Mick and whilst others might find it strange, she insists she "doesn't know any different" and enjoys having them around.

Frankie admits it is easier for her to feel less mum guilt when she leaves her kids with their grandparents, rather than handing them over to a nanny when she has to go out to work.

"Everyone is obsessed with them living with us, but I don’t know any different. They’ve not always lived with us, but they’ve always been around," she told Fabulous.

“When we had kids, it was a no-brainer [to have them in the house]. They have a great relationship with their grandparents and my guilt when I leave them is a lot less [than if we had a nanny].

"My nan and grandad looked after us when I was young while my parents worked, and most of my childhood memories are with them.

Frankie explained how lockdown was a bit "harder" for the family, but they all worked it out and pushed through.

She added: "Living with your in-laws is unusual, but it doesn’t bother me. Obviously lockdown was harder, but we don’t argue."

Frankie previously admitted she found lockdown tough and scary, but she enjoyed being able to spend time together as a family.

"It initially was really scary, the uncertainty and the thought of people being ill was really hard, but being at home has been nice," she told The Mirror.

"Having the excuse to slow down together and spend time together has been lovely.

"It’s made me realise we all live our lives at such a fast pace. It’s good to take a step back and try things a bit differently."

The former Saturdays singer confessed she struggles with the work life balance when it comes to looking after her and Wayne's kids - Parker, seven, and Carter, six - but the pandemic has made her realise she can do more things from the comfort of her house.

She knows now that she can stay at home more but still work on developing her career.

"Sometimes it’s nice just to relax and enjoy the kids," she shared.
