Scots comedian Frankie Boyle has taken a swipe at Prime Minister Boris Johnson as he welcomed his sixth child today.
Johnson, 55, has four children - all adults now - with his estranged wife Marina Wheeler and a love child conceived during an affair with property developer Helen Macintyre.
And today it was announced that he and fiancée Carrie Symonds welcomed a baby boy.
The spokeswoman said: "The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds are thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning. Both mother and baby are doing very well.
"The PM and Ms Symonds would like to thank the fantastic NHS maternity team."
But Scots jokester Frankie wasn't exactly sending his well wishes to the PM as he tweeted: "I guess we're supposed to ignore the fact that this is a guy for whom parental leave means becoming a parent and leaving."
During December’s general election campaign, Johnson refused to reveal how many children he has fathered.
Mr Johnson, 55, and Ms Symonds, 32, announced in March that they were expecting a baby in "early summer", and that they had become engaged at the end of last year.
The news of the birth comes just weeks after the PM was discharged from intensive care where he had been battling coronavirus.
