Frankfurt vs Chelsea player ratings: Pedro and Ruben Loftus-Cheek shine for the hosts

Pedro gave Chelsea an away goal to take back to Stamford Bridge after drawing 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in the first-leg of their Europa League semi-final.

The Blues looked sluggish for the first thirty minutes of the match and Frankfurt took advantage as Luka Jovic met a Filip Kostic cross with a sublime header to put the home side ahead in the 23rd minute.

A good spell of play for Chelsea just before half-time saw them press high up the pitch as Rueben Loftus-cheek won the ball in Frankfurt’s box and set up Pedro who slotted it home to give Chelsea the equaliser.

A dominant second-half for the London side lacked another goal but they take a slender advantage into the second leg after claiming a crucial away goal in Germany.
