Frank Warren has given a one-week deadline to find out the fate of Tommy Fury's clash with Jake Paul.
The pair have been set to clash since both featuring on the card headlined by Paul's victory over Tyron Woodley last month.
And after a fiery confrontation in the hallway after their respective victories, talks have been ongoing for the meeting.
But Warren now expects to know within the next week, if a potential meeting between the pair will take place.
"I don't think we're too far away from finding out whether Jake Pau l vs Tommy Fury is going to happen next," Warren told BT Sport Boxing. "I'd be surprised if we didn't know within the next week.
"Both fighters want it. As everybody knows, we've been in discussions with Jake Paul and his team for a few weeks now but so far we've not been able to come to terms.
"Jake might look at Tommy's performance in his last fight and think he fancies it even more after that - but Tommy could probably say the same about Jake. I hope it does happen, it would be a great spectacle. But we'll see."
The pair have been involved in a social media spat over the contest this week, with Paul initially making a final offer of $1 million to make the fight happen.
But Fury clapped back claiming the offer wasn't worth "getting out of bed for" and has demanded a bigger financial reward to take the fight.
And now the YouTube star finished the debate with a "take-it or leave-it' ultimatum to the 22-year-old Briton encouraging him to accept the offer.

"This is the last time I am speaking about this guy, he is about to fumble the biggest bag of his life,” Paul said on Twitter. “I made you famous and give you the biggest debut of your life, and gave you a chance to shine in front of the whole world.
“And I have made you an offer which is quadruple the best payday of your career which I gave you to fight me, so for everyone at home this is what happens when you give someone clout.
“I have dozens of other fighters every week Tommy, you are replaceable. Tommy do you wanna end up in jail like Dillon Danis, take the fight.

Paul has also been linked with a rematch with Woodley, after prevailing over split-decision in Cleveland.
And the former MMA star has increased his chances of making the fight by planning to fulfil the "tattoo bet".
The 24-year-old could also take on current UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal after making an offer to UFC president Dana White.
