Frank Vogel says LeBron James practicing at ‘very high level’

It doesn’t appear that there is any excess rust on the King’s armor. With the obvious caveat that a head coach praising his star player is pretty standard stuff, Frank Vogel told reporters on Thursday morning that he’s been rather impressed by the play of LeBron James and his dedication to staying ready for the season’s conclusion amid the league’s stoppage due to the coronavirus pandemic.

James showed his followers on social media little snippets of his workouts at home during the quarantine and there were also some rumors about him and other players having more serious basketball workouts at a secret location.

LeBron is of course motivated by the fact that he has one of the strongest contenders for the NBA championship this season. He had a renaissance season this year after being injured in 2019, averaging just under 26 points per game while averaging a career-best and NBA-leading 10.5 assists per game.
