Frank Ocean announced as the new face of Prada

Frank Ocean’s 2020 is off to a flying start.

The new decade began with the news he would be headlining this year’s Coachella festival.

Now, Prada has confirmed the Blonde singer as the face of its spring/summer 2020 menswear campaign.

Starring alongside director Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, The Neon Demon) and actor Austin Butler (The Dead Don't Die, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), Ocean is pictured in a series of black and white and colour images shot by David Sims.

In one image, Ocean stands in an apartment wearing a long tailored coat, an oversized shirt, a pair of cropped camel trousers, and a slim bolo tie. In another he wears a black roll neck jumper and stares pensively into the distance.

Prada describe the campaign as “a playful metaphor for a confident embracing of the indefinability of Prada itself.”

This isn't the first time Frank has collaborated with the brand. For the Met Gala last May, he opted for an unusually low-key red carpet look in a black Prada nylon hoodie.

With all this new year Frank Ocean noise, could a new album be on the way?
