Raging Frank McAvennie has taken aim at leading Celtic director of football candidate Fergal Harkin - claiming he only showed players houses at Manchester City.
Record Sport revealed this week that Harkin is edging closer to taking the reins with the Hoops after turning down Belgian side SK Lommel.
It's a massive step in the Parkhead rebuild with Ange Postecoglou the frontrunner to take over from Neil Lennon as boss.
However, club legend McAvennie didn't back either man to make the difference in the Premiership next season.
On BBC Sportsound he insisted Australian Postecoglou could effectively dictate his own terms to the club after the collapse of the Eddie Howe deal.
He said: “The biggest problem is who is going to come in with him, because he’s got Celtic over a barrel at the moment because they can't have another manager saying no.
"He has to bring in his own staff because the people at Celtic Park aren't good enough.

"The people who brought in the recruitment have been terrible and have not done it.
“If this guy does come in he’s got to get a chance, but who is going to bring in the players?"
When the connections and transfers with the City Group were flagged up, with Harkin's former employer Manchester City being under the same umbrella as Postecoglou's current club Yokohama F Marinos, McAvennie took aim at the potential DoF.
He said: “The City Group? Do they run Celtic now? The boy that was supposed to come in as Director of Football, I got told he was a player liason at Manchester City.
"The pathway, which is getting translators and showing them houses and all that. Let’s not beat about the bush.
"The whole point is that everything needs changed. One guy can’t change it. I don’t care who you are."
