Frank Lampard sends Derby County demand ahead of huge Bristol City game

Frank Lampard has demanded his players stay calm ahead of a huge game against Bristol City.

The Rams currently sit sixth, one point and two places above the Robins in a race for the play-offs that looks like it will go down to the wire.

They make the trip to City this weekend in a game that could go a long way to deciding who makes the top six at the end of the season.

After beating QPR on Monday to go sixth, Lampard said his players cannot get overexcited this week.

"I think there is a balance now not to get too excited," Lampard said to Derbyshire Live.

"We should enjoy this (the QPR win), and it is in our hands but those hands are two away games against very strong teams and a home game against a very strong team.

"We have got a difficult run-in. Every run-in looks difficult, but we have to enjoy the moment and then focus because it is going to be very tough for us.

"The hard work comes now for the next three games.

"It’s getting ourselves as ready as we can be. These are crucial times and we cannot miss small details and we will be working hard to get ready."
