Frank Lampard says he's pleased Chelsea will be hosting Manchester United in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup - but knows it will be a big test for his players.
Chelsea battered League Two opposition Grimsby 7-1 on Wednesday night with seven different players getting on the scoresheet for the Premier League club.
Manchester United on the other hand struggled against League One minnows Rochdale and were unable to beat them in regulation time.
Mason Greenwood opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the second half before 16-year-old Luke Matheson equalised for the away side.
United eventually showed their dominance in the penalty shoot-out, with Daniel James netting the decisive fifth spot-kick to see the Red Devils go through.
Manchester United will now play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the fourth round of the league cup, and Blues boss Lampard is delighted his side will be hosting the tie.
"It is a big draw obviously," said Lampard. "It is two big teams. I am pleased we are at home and we will see. That's all. I just watched the penalties. I'll comment nearer the time."
Chelsea have already played Manchester United in the Premier League this season and were battered 4-0 by the Red Devils at Old Trafford.
The match took place on the opening day of the campaign, and the Red Devils form has dropped significantly since the convincing victory.
