Frank Lampard is hoping to have both Tammy Abraham and Kepa Arrizabalaga back for Chelsea's next pre-season match against Barcelona.
Neither featured today against Kawasaki Frontale after picking up illnesses, however the Blues have another game on Tuesday when they take on the La Liga winners in Saitama.
Abraham has played just 45 minutes of pre-season so far, while Kepa was named on the teamsheet against Kawasaki, however pulled out last minute because of a stomach bug and is yet to feature this summer.
The Blues are set to face their toughest test throughout the whole of pre-season next week when they face the Catalan giants.
And Lampard is hoping that both players will be fit after illness hit the camp during their time in Japan.
"The illnesses aren't related. Tammy Abraham has tonsillitis and Kepa reported a stomach bug this afternoon," Lampard said.
"I'm not a doctor but I think it comes alongside what I mentioned before about flying in, a lot of players aren't sleeping and are finding it difficult in different ways and it's come out in those two players.
"I don't expect either of them to be too long. Tammy's on the mend already and hopefully both will be in contention for Barcelona next week."
N'Golo Kante also did not feature in the 1-0 defeat in Yokohama as Lampard has decided to not rush the France World Cup winner back from his hamstring problem.
However, Lampard is also hoping that the Frenchman has the chance to be fit for that game next week.
