Frank Lampard has named his first Chelsea XI since taking over at Stamford Bridge as the Blues prepare for their first pre-season friendly against Bohemians.

Outcasts Danny Drinkwater and Michy Batshuayi are the two eye-catching names to feature as the pair aim to rebuild their Chelsea careers, with Lampard insisting at his unveiling that all squad members will get an opportunity to impress.

The 41-year-old, who officially took over on a three-year deal last week, has been working with the available members of his squad for the past five days after flying to Ireland.

A handful of youth team players on the trip have been included the starting XI, with Marc Guehi starting at centre-back alongside captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

Conor Gallagher also gets a rare outing having made the bench under Maurizio Sarri, while more established Chelsea youngsters Ethan Ampadu, Dujon Sterling and Kasey Palmer start in Dublin.

Tiemoue Bakayoko, who spent last season on loan at AC Milan, only makes the bench along with Kurt Zouma, who impressed during his temporary stint at Everton.

While Sarri preferred to line up in a 4-3-3, it appears Lampard is keen to try out a 4-2-3-1, with Batshuayi the lone striker.

Chelsea XI: Caballero; Azpilicueta, Ampadu, Guehi, Sterling; Drinkwater, Gallagher; Pedro, Palmer, Kenedy; Batshuayi.
Subs: Cumming, Bakayoko, Zouma, Ugbo, Zappacosta, Chalobah, Piazon, Baker, Maatsen, Brown, Gilmour.
