Anthony Gordon has 'got what it takes' according to impressed new Everton manager Frank Lampard.
Gordon received a standing ovation from the Goodison faithful after an electric display in the FA Cup win over Brentford on Saturday.
The 20-year-old played a key role in Everton's third goal when he won the ball back just outside the opposition area before winning the corner from which Mason Holgate scored.
Lampard has revealed he had been studying the Academy product long before he was in contention to take the Blues job but, having seen him up close, is even more convinced of Gordon's potential.

"I'm really excited," Lampard said.
"I've been watching Anthony this season, as an outsider, a neutral as such and love things about his game.
"When you come to see someone you don't try and make too many judgements before you work with them, but I've seen him at close hand all week.
"He's got great quality, he loves this club, it oozes out of him, and the fans obviously as we saw, love that

"He's got a great attitude. He's got all the attributes to do what he wants in the game. I won't jump on too much because after one game I don't want to give him an issue and something he has to live up to, but I can see in him he's got what it takes and we saw loads of glimpses of that today.
"The tackle before the third goal was amazing, he's a talented boy but the attitude he shows and his love for this club is something for me to work on and harness and help him, and be of service to him.
"He is a young player and he can go a long way."
