Frank Lampard highlights the 'ridiculous' aspect of Hakim Ziyech's ability

Rio Ferdinand has revealed that Frank Lampard praised Hakim Ziyech's 'ridiculous' passing after he arrived at Chelsea training.

The Moroccan was the first signing of the Blues's busy summer transfer window, with Ziyech having joined from Ajax.

Last season, the 27-year-old had 12 assists in the Eredivisie last season, with another 13 the season before and 15 the campaign before that.

Ziyech showed what he can do in the pre-season friendly against Brighton, setting up the opening goal of the game.

Kai Havertz on emulating Frank Lampard and Timo Werner friendship

And Lampard has been delighted with Ziyech's ability to find his teammates and what he has shown in training.

"You know what I spoke to Frank the other day about Ziyech and he said: ‘His passing is ridiculous," Ferdinand told the Five YouTube channel.

"I’m looking to see them passes when he cuts with his left foot and has the likes of Mason Mount, Timo Werner Kai Havertz etc all making runs and I think Ziyech will be putting it on a plate for these boys."

Ziyech is currently struggling with an injury, however, having twisted his knee during his during the pre-season friendly with Brighton.

The winger is not expected to be fit for the match with Liverpool and could be out for a couple of weeks.
