Frank Lampard gives latest N'Golo Kante injury news ahead of Chelsea's crunch Wolves clash

Frank Lampard has stated that N'Golo Kante should be fit for Chelsea's final Premier League clash of the campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

The 29-year-old has struggled with injuries throughout the season, and he has not featured since the win over Watford.

Kante had been playing in the defensive midfield position, however he suffered a hamstring problem which has put him out of action.

Since then, Billy Gilmour took on the role in the win over Crystal Palace, but he also suffered a season-ending injury.

Jorginho has been playing in the heart of the midfield with Mateo Kovacic, there have been doubts over where or not the Italian is the right man for the role.

However, Kante should be fit for the game on Sunday, a game that Chelsea must at least draw to guarantee Champions League football next season.

"There's a possibility that he'll feature, he's trained, probably for the first time, towards at match pace this morning," Lampard said.

"So it's a decision I'll have to make, talking to him, with the medical team, to see if he's ready to start."
