Frank Lampard is expected to be announced as the new Chelsea head coach and he's already been given a major injury boost.
Despite parting company with Maurizio Sarri in the middle of last month, the Blues are still without a manager and the first-team squad are due back for training at the end of the week.
However, Lampard was seen at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday and it seems like an confirmation in regards to his emotional return to Stamford Bridge is imminent.
One player fighting to be fit is Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The youngster missed the climax to the 2018/2019 campaign - including the Europa League final win over Arsenal - after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon in the 2-2 draw with Burnley in April.
That setback coupled with Willian and Christian Pulisic being away on international duty with their respective nations could leave Lampard short of options in attack in the build-up to the new Premier League season.
With that said, the winger is giving himself every chance of being available soon.
Hudson-Odoi shared a video of himself jogging at Cobham with the caption which read: "Everyday is another step closer."

However, it must be noted that Hudson-Odoi will not be rushed back in pre-season and won't be apart of Lampard's first session.
But to see him jogging is a sign that his recovery is going well and that can only be viewed as great news for the Blues legend ahead of what will be a difficult start to the season against Manchester United on August 11.
Chelsea's pre-season programme begins on July 10 with a clash against Bohemians FC and culminates against Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach on August 3.
