For the first time since the Europa League final in 2013, Chelsea did not put on a single substitute during a match.
With the Blues cruising in a 3-0 win over Burnley, Frank Lampard decided not to call on any of his players on the bench, with everyone on the pitch getting a full 90 minutes.
The last time that happened in a Premier League match was in last time was October 31, 2009 when the Blues played Bolton Wanderers, with Carlo Ancelotti the man in charge.
With the amount of fixtures that teams have to play these days, it is a rare sight to see any team not put on at least substitute.
But Lampard admits he did it as he was enjoying watching his players too much to justify making any swaps.
"It is just I was enjoying the game so much that I felt like the players wouldn’t have wanted to come off," Lampard said.
"I think even for the subs at that point, I think we need to be together on it.
"Subs are called upon at times but I think they played so well that I let them see the game out.
"They can all have a little bit of rest over the next couple of days.
"The lads who were subs worked after the game and that’s a good thing. Then we have another long week.
"This week was certainly beneficial because we could work hard all week and I think you saw the fruits of it out there."
