Frank Lampard explains how he'll get a reaction from Chelsea players ahead of Spurs

Chelsea are certainly going their toughest spell since Frank Lampard has been head coach.

With their 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth this afternoon, the Blues have now lost four out of their last five Premier League games and are clinging on to fourth place.

It was a dire performance at Stamford Bridge as Dan Gosling's late strike meant that the Cherries went away with all three points.

For Lampard and his Blues teams things are going to get tougher next weekend when they make the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Jose Mourinho's side.

Spurs are gaining ground on their London rivals in the race to clinch a top four spot and go into the game with more confidence than that of the Blues.

Chelsea have a rare week off with no midweek match, and Lampard is keen for his team to be fully focused on the task at hand.

“I’ve been in the dressing room after those games and we end up winning the league or winning the Champions League," Lampard said.

"That’s normal, so I won’t draw a line between me and my staff and the players. I understand how they feel. I feel like it now.

"It won't be a hard week where I get them in training tomorrow morning and we watch a video for two hours.

"We’ve got a long week where they can go away a little bit and have time with their families and when we work, we work and focus on the Tottenham game.

"That’s what they do to be fair. I can’t find anyone wanting in terms with how we apply ourselves. But what we do on the pitch is the main thing and at the minute we have to understand that it’s not good enough."
