Frank Lampard explains how Chelsea will deal with their injury crisis ahead of Everton

Frank Lampard believes the only way to deal with Chelsea's injury crisis is to battle through and show the fight and spirit they did on Tuesday night.

The Blues could potentially have nine players missing on Saturday when they take on Everton in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

Jorginho is suspended, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is not still fully fit. Callum Hudson-Odoi, Andreas Christensen, Christian Pulisic, N'Golo Kante and Tammy Abraham are all trying to recover from injury.

Meanwhile, Mateo Kovacic and Willian added to the woes after hobbling off in the win over Jurgen Klopp's side in the FA Cup.

Frank Lampard on Billy Gilmour: He is small in stature he is huge in personality and talent.

The injury count is certainly stacking up against Lampard and the Blues in what is going to be a massive run to get the Premier League's top four spot.

The Blues also have the FA Cup quarter-final to consider, while they still have to play Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League last 16.

It is going to stretch Lampard's squad to the end of the campaign, however the Blues boss insists they will just have to battle through the issues that have piled up right now.

"We’ll have to have a bit of a count on Thursday, with the game Sunday, and see where we are with midfield players," Lampard said.

"Sometimes you can moan about injuries, and I have done because we had some big ones early in the season and particularly in recent times, but the reality is that you have to get on and keep with it.

"And when the players show the fight they did tonight you hope that it gives them a bit of strength as a group for whoever comes in to keep moving forward."
