Frank Lampard explains Chelsea team selection vs Wolves and whether he'll play three at the back

Frank Lampard has refused to confirm whether Chelsea will play three defenders against Wolves.

The Chelsea manager got supporters talking when he named Andreas Christensen, Fikayo Tomori and Antonio Rudiger as part of his starting XI at Molineux.

With Marcos Alonso and César Azpilicueta also named, it hinted at a change of formation for the Blues, but Lampard kept his cards close to his chest about how his side will set up.

Asked if they'll be playing three at the back, Lampard told Sky Sports: "We'll see!

"There's a couple of changes and a couple of people back fit.

"Obviously Rudiger is one of the major players and regular starters from last season so it's good to have him back for his experience, personality and quality.

Willian has missed pre-season but has come back fit so it gives us more options."

Elsewhere, Mateo Kovacic joins Jorginho and Mason Mount in midfield, while Tammy Abraham starts in attack.
