Chelsea’s newest signing Edouard Mendy will be in Frank Lampard’s squad to face Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow.
The two London sides will face each other at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow, with the winner of the fourth round tie booking themselves a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Senegalese international goalkeeper Mendy signed for the Blues from French side Rennes in a £28m move last week and could make his debut against Jose Mourinho’s side tomorrow.
Ben Chilwell, another of the new signings, is in line to feature against Spurs.
However, the tie does come too soon for Hakim Ziyech to make his debut, with Christian Pulisic also not deemed fit enough to face Tottenham.
"Mendy and Chilwell are in the squad tomorrow," Lampard confirmed. "They are fit and we will see if they start or not.
"Ziyech and Pulisic are not far away but they are still in a recovery phase. Too early for them both."
Both Ziyech and Pulisic are yet to feature for the Blues this season following their respective injury concerns.
Ziyech sustained an injury in pre-season during a friendly against Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium.
