Frank Lampard coy on Toni Rudiger, Jorginho futures at Chelsea as transfer speculation mounts

Frank Lampard has skirted around questions regarding the future of Toni Rudiger and Jorginho, with the Chelsea head coach saying that he will deal with the futures of players on a case-by-case basis.

With more than 30 on the books, Chelsea are expected to sell or send a number of players out on loan over the coming days.

Rudiger has fallen to fifth-choice centre back and did not even make the bench for the midweek Carabao Cup win over Barnsley. The 27-year-old is now looking to move on to a side where he can feature regularly.

Jorginho has played in both league games but Lampard has a host of options in midfield.

"I don't expect anything in the window, because they are our players and that's a fact," the head coach said.

"There are lots of rumours about those players and others too, so every player would always be a case-by-case situation, and one that would be a happy solution for the player, for myself and the club.

"Yes we have a big squad, we know that, but at the moment the players remain ours and we'll see how things go as the time goes on."

Lampard refused to be drawn on a potential move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, who could cost about £80million. A move for the England international would be contingent on Chelsea being able to offload some deadwood.

"Again they are rumours, I can't talk about these things, but when players are either ours it's not my position to speculate on what may be, and the same on the other side from players from other clubs the same. I'll continue that way.

"We have a game against West Brom and my biggest thing for me is getting the players ready for that game."
