Former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has revealed he waiting on the "right time" to make his return to management.
The 42-year-old has been out of work since he was sacked by the Stamford Bridge side in December after a run of erratic form.
Lampard remains among the bookies favourites for the Celtic vacancy and is still in the top five in the latest odds that were released on Friday.
But wife Christine has recently welcomed a second child and it's understood the Chelsea legend is likely to remain close to his London base.
His uncle Harry Redknapp talked Lampard up as the perfect successor for Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace while the 74-year-old put himself in the mix for the Celtic gig.
But the man himself admits hes in no rush to secure his next move even though clubs have reached out to check his availability.
Speaking ahead of the London Football Awards, he said: "I've had some opportunities that have come up in the last six weeks, two months, that have been flattering but not the right thing.
"Nobody wants to lose their job and come out of the game you love, but at the same time ... when you go into this career, this will happen, no matter how good you think you are or whatever circumstances you are in.
"It was certainly the time for me to take a step out, having been managing for 2-1/2 years full pelt and having the family situation,
"The opportunities weren't quite right but I think about it. It would be something I'm keen to do, at the right time, at the right place."
