Frank Lampard could benefit from Thiago Silva masterstroke as Chelsea transfer explained

Here is your Chelsea morning digest for Thursday, August 27.

Ben Chilwell's first words

Chelsea landed another recruit on Wednesday, confirming the signing of full-back Ben Chilwell from Leicester City, and the England international spoke about his deal.

"I obviously wanted to play for a massive club but talking to Frank before I came was one of the main reasons I wanted to come.

"He installed a lot of confidence in me and told me how the system suits the way I play. He seemed a really good guy you can talk to about stuff away from football.

“I just do not understand why Rangers did not see what everyone else saw in Billy Gilmour. I do not get it. Can you imagine Gilmour at Rangers now? I am delighted he isn’t there!”
