Frank Lampard confirms N'Golo Kante injury blow and gives update on two key Chelsea stars

Frank Lampard has confirmed N'Golo Kante will miss Chelsea's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace tomorrow night.

The 29-year-old has struggled with injuries throughout the 2019/20 campaign, however had seemed to have got past his issues since the break.

Kante has been playing in the deeper, holding role in midfield and had been a big part of Chelsea's decent restart to the campaign.

However, the World Cup winner pulled up during the Watford win on Saturday after suffering a hamstring problem.

And Lampard gave the latest injury news on the midfielder ahead of the Palace match tomorrow night.

"Kante won't be in the squad," Lampard said. "Hurt his hamstring. A low-level hamstring, so we're hoping it is a week or so.

"Kovacic trained with us today but not ready for this game. Hopefully the next. And Tomori is still not ready. He had a small setback in training. Hopefully next week.

"We'll play that one as it goes but I would expect we'd be very lucky to have him [Kante] for Sheffield United."
