Frank Lampard breaks silence on Chelsea's plans for Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard has refused to rule out the possibility of letting Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fikayo Tomori or Callum Hudson-Odoi leave on loan before the transfer window shuts.

All three players have been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge this summer, with Chelsea's summer signings creating intense competition within the squad for places.

Ross Barkley has already joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan deal, whilst Loftus-Cheek is reportedly being eyed by Southampton and West Ham.

Tomori is thought to be an Everton target, whilst there has been renewed speculation that Bayern Munich are interested in signing Hudson-Odoi, with the England winger a previous target for the European champions.

Champions League draw reaction and Chelsea transfer latest

And speaking ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday, Lampard admitted that he would have to make a decision on the trio ahead of Monday's deadline, with nothing yet set in stone.

"With every player in the squad, with the situation of a loan you have to consider what's best for the player, what's best for the club first and foremost. And then see how it stacks up," Lampard said.

"So with all those three players I would take those things into consideration.

"But I haven't got an answer for you on any of those three. I have a good relationship with them all, speak honestly with them, again that's one that we'll broach player by player in the next few days.

"Once the window shuts every player that will be here will be used within our squad, because it's a long season and a lot of competitions coming up.

"And we'll know more on Monday."
