Lampard sends message to Mount
Frank Lampard has sent a message to Mason Mount following the midfielder's winning goal and superb performance against Fulham on Saturday night.
“I thought Mason’s performance all round was fantastic. He has been very, very good for us in the past year, this year. He is a big example of why I talk about the youth," he said in his post-match press conference.
“Mason turned 22 years old last week, the age I came to Chelsea at. I wasn’t blowing the world away in my first way my first year or so, Mason already has so many games under his belt.
“Across our frontline, we’ve got Christian Pulisic, similar age bracket. Kai Havertz, similar age bracket, Callum Hudson-Odoi, younger age bracket. Tammy, Timo, they’re all young.
“But to go back to Mason, his effort, attitude and quality of play today was outstanding.”
Bosz blames Lampard for Havertz struggles
Former Bayer Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz has told Frank Lampard that Hakim Ziyech's position is the reason behind Kai Havertz' struggles.
The Blues splashed around £71m to land the Germany international in the summer transfer window, winning the race for one of the most coveted young players in European football.
However, Havertz's influence in England has been limited thus far to just a single Premier League goal and two assists in 15 appearances.

"Havertz's greatest quality lies in the opponent's box. There he has to come to score goals," Bosz told VL.
"At Chelsea, he now also plays further back, because Hakim Ziyech pushes him away. Then Havertz does not get enough into the penalty area."
Salzburg star opens up on rejecting Chelsea
Red Bull Salzburg star Karim Adeyemi has admitted it was not 'normal' for him to reject a move to Chelsea.
In 2018, Chelsea were said to have offered him and his family the chance to travel to Cobham ahead of a potential move.
But in the end, he opted to go to Salzburg from Unterhaching in 2019, rejecting Chelsea due to his desire for regular football.
Speaking of the failed move, he told Sport 1: “ First of all, it is important to me that I play regularly.
“My focus is currently on the Austrian league. I am very happy that I have so much time here. I am fully focused on the task in Salzburg.
“I don’t know how the clubs work; after all, I don’t know the people responsible. But I would choose the club where I feel most comfortable.
“It’s not that difficult to stay on the ground. I haven’t achieved anything yet, even though I’m now playing in the first division in Austria.
“But I find it – in quotation marks – quite normal that I do not answer. My parents and family support me a lot in this. My old Unterhaching club taught me that too.
“But even at Salzburg we players are kept on the ground. There is also no reason why I should rise above other people. All people are equal.”
