Frank Lampard has admitted he is out of control at Chelsea as fears over the sack intensify.
It comes after another disappointing night for the Blues, who were downed by Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday.
Brendan Rodgers’ men inflicted a fifth Premier League defeat in eight matches, while going top of the table themselves.
Chelsea, on the other hand, are languishing in eighth and Lampard is coming under serious pressure.
After the Manchester City loss earlier this month, reports emerged that Stamford Bridge chiefs are looking at managerial alternatives.
Thomas Tuchel, recently sacked from Paris Saint-Germain, has been listed as the favourite.
And after the latest defeat, Lampard has admitted that his future is out of his hands.
He said on Tuesday night: "I can't control it. I've been asked before, I understand it, it's the expectations of this club.
“It's a developing team but I can't get caught up in the reaction. I took this job knowing we would have difficult times.
“We just have to fight. Where everything was rosy in mid-Deecmber, it isn't so rosy now. I am good at handling pressure."
Chelsea’s away form is hugely concerning for the club’s top brass with the second-most conceded goals in the Premier League over the past two seasons.
Under Lampard, the Blues have kept just five clean sheets away from home during his stewardship in the league.
And the Englishman lambasted his players after the match, calling them “slow and sluggish”.
He said: “There are players who are not playing as well as they should be, that's a simple fact.
"I'm disappointed with both the goals. We know we can compete with Leicester when we are are playing well.
“But when you go 2-0 down and you are in a difficult period of form it affects the game hugely.
"The players know they were beaten by a better team, a team we are behind and one we want to catch. The general theme of our performance was slow and sluggish."
