Frank Kaminsky's former Woodridge home up for sale

May 13--You might not be able to play basketball like Benet Academy alum and future NBA player Frank Kaminsky, but you can live like him, and you'll have to bring your own basketball hoop.

A realtor is using Kaminsky's new-found fame to market the house the 7-foot basketball star from the University of Wisconsin literally grew up in during years at Benet. The house has been up for sale for about year.

Built in 2008 by the Kaminsky family in a Woodridge subdivision close to Benet, the 4,495 square-foot home at 3328 Noble Drive listed for $674,444 includes four bathrooms and five bedrooms with iPod-ready speakers in all of the bedrooms. Kaminsky's room in particular is decked out in Wisconsin-themed bedding -- with a XXL comforter -- and Badger wall decals as well as a framed and autographed poster of the 2010 Sectional Champion Benet Academy basketball team.

An unfinished walkout basement has plenty of head room for would-be basketball centers with its 10-foot high ceilings, and the first floor features a sun room, butler pantry and a morning room.

The one item the property is missing for anyone on a mission to live the life of a basketball phenom is a permanent basketball hoop.

Listing agent Jim Hubeny said the house has been on the market for about a year and the Kaminsky family is hoping the extra publicity from Frank's exploits will generate more interest in the property.

Kaminsky has racked up numerous accolades this year alone.

A week after the high school and college basketball star flooded the national spotlight collecting the prestigious John R. Wooden Award as being college basketball's top men's player, the "Frank the Tank" returned to his alma mater in Lisle for a ceremony retiring his Benet Redwings jersey No. 44. Kaminsky, who also wore No. 44 in college, led the Badgers basketball team to the Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles, and the NCAA tournament championship game, where the Badgers lost to Duke after upsetting then-undefeated No. 1 Kentucky in the semifinals.

Experts predict Kaminsky will be picked in the first round of the NBA draft in June.
