Frank Clark trade impacts Ravens’ fortunes in Draft Wire’s latest mock

The Seattle Seahawks are set to trade pass rusher Frank Clark to the Kansas City Chiefs. The deal is reported to contain Kansas City’s first-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft. A change in the order of the first round right in front of the Baltimore Ravens impacts what the Ravens have available to them.

In Draft Wire’s latest mock draft following the reports of the Clark trade, Luke Easterling predicted that Mississippi wide receiver D.K. Metcalf lands with Baltimore.

Many have considered Metcalf to be the top wide receiver in this draft. It’s also easily the biggest need for a Ravens team that needs to build around quarterback Lamar Jackson. Given the available players for Baltimore, Metcalf might be the only prospect not a reach if this mock draft plays out like this.

Easterling had previously made the same pick for the Ravens, albeit from Baltimore trading up with the Minnesota Vikings to take Metcalf at No. 18.

If the draft shakes out like this, the game against the Chiefs in Week 3 would take on an extra dimension.
