Frank Clark recruits pending free agent Kwon Alexander on Twitter

NFL free agency is set to start on March 13, and Seattle Seahawks fans are proclaiming which players they hope to see in the green and blue next season.  Meanwhile, the players are doing the very same thing.

Seahawks defensive end Frank Clark took to Twitter, where he publicly advocated for Buccaneers linebacker Kwon Alexander to sign with Seattle this offseason.

“Join the dark side Cheeto, we got things to accomplish,” Clark said in his tweet, with Cheeto likely a reference to Alexander’s dyed red hair. “@Kwon and @Bwagz would be sick right 12’s!”

Alexander is an outside linebacker who, if signed, would pair with star middle linebacker Bobby Wagner to form a fearsome linebacker duo for Seattle.

Alexander is coming off an injury-riddled 2018 season, but he was a Pro Bowler in 2017 and led the league with 108 solo tackles in 2016.

Of course, signing Alexander would be costly and would certainly spell the end of K.J. Wright’s tenure in Seattle.

It’s unclear whether Seattle is planning to try to bring Wright back, but if not Alexander may be a tough option to acquire based on Seattle’s budget and their need to sign quarterback Russell Wilson to an extension in the next year.
