Francisco Trincao makes Rangers vs Braga promise as he admits pride at 'dream' Barcelona move

Francisco Trincao has promised he'll remain committed to helping Braga before moving to Barcelona in the summer.

The 20-year-old will sign for the Catalan giants at the end of the season for a fee of £26m, but will face Rangers in the Europa League prior to that.

Barcelona inserted a release clause of £420m into his contract and Trincao is expected to be a big player over the years.

But Trincao insists he will remain focused on helping Braga until the end of the season, starting with their last 32 clash against Rangers in two weeks.

He said: "It's a dream come true to be able to wear the Barcelona shirt from July 1 and it will be a great honour.

"But I want to make clear to Braga supporters that until that day, I will give body and soul for the Braga cause.

"My commitment and focus is on helping Braga be successful in all the competitions they play in."

Meanwhile, Braga's record £8m signing - Abel Ruiz, who was signed from the La Liga club as part of the deal - insists he will help his new club to glory.

He said: "I accept I have a bit of pressure on me because I am the club's record signing, but I am calm and I can't wait to give 200 per cent to this club.

"I believe Braga are a great club, who are ambitious and going places.

"They way they play appeals to me and I can't wait to get started."
