France vs Scotland: Friendly prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds today

Scotland will be in tournament mode when they travel to Lille tonight for a friendly with France.

The Tartan Army may have suffered a controversial defeat in Spain last week to briefly deny them Euro 2024 qualification, their ticket to Germany has since been booked.

While this trip to northern France was always going to be something of a party for supporters, the celebrations can really start now Steve Clarke’s side will be heading for their second consecutive European Championship.

The French, as expected, have also wrapped up their qualification as Didier Deschamps gets set for another tournament cycle.

So both teams can use this match as a chance to size up their squads and a potential opponent at next summer’s Euros.

Date, kick-off time and venue

France vs Scotland is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off time tonight, Tuesday 17 October, 2023.

Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille will host.

All of William Saliba, Jules Kounde, Axel Disasi and Dayot Upamecano are unavailable for the French, meaning Castello Lukeba could make his debut. Malo Gusto is expected to add to his first cap at right-back too.

Kylian Mbappe is edging ever closer to Olivier Giroud’s all-time goal record and will surely lead the line again.

For Scotland, Aaron Hickey has joined Andy Robertson in pulling out the squad and has duly been replaced by Max Johnston. Andrew Robertson is also injured.
