France vs Germany prediction: Kai Havertz and Kylian Mbappe tipped to score

This is an incredible tie on paper, you would be forgiven if you thought this was a knockout match as France travel to Munich to face Germany in their Euro 2020 opener.

The world champions are the slight favourites at 33/20 with Grosvenor Sport while Germany at 19/10 and a draw is 43/20.

The French will want to go one step further in this competition after losing out to Portugal in their home final back in 2016.

They come in to this competition on the same, if not higher, level in terms of depth and quality so this summer could be an enjoyable one for Les Bleus.

For Germany, it is Joachim Low's curtain call. He led Germany to become world champions back in 2014 in Brazil but now the German's time has come and this is his last chance to get the European crown.

Tips

  • Kai Havertz to score anytime - 18/5
  • Kylian Mbappe to score anytime - 41/20

I feel like the bookies know something we do not - either that or they have very generous offers on the tables.

Chelsea's Kai Havertz dazzled us after receiving a leap of faith from Thomas Tuchel and went on to score the winner in the Champions League final last month.

Havertz justified his huge £72 million transfer fee since Tuchel joined in January and Low has ways of making the most of the advanced playmaker.

It will not plain sailing for the Germans however, especially when they will be up against Kylian Mbappe who is at a rather high 41/20 to score anytime.
