France's Michelin Guide 2024 Stars Unveiled, New Culinary Stars Shine

52 establishments awarded one star, 23 opened in the past year.

France's culinary scene is once again in the spotlight as the highly anticipated Michelin restaurant stars for 2024 have been revealed. The prestigious Michelin Guide's star ratings, known for recognizing culinary excellence, were announced today at the Palais des Congrès in Tours.

This year's selection includes a total of 52 establishments that were awarded one star, with 23 of them having opened in the past year. Notable additions to the list include L'Espadon at the Ritz and Datil in Paris, both earning one star under the leadership of talented chefs Eugénie Béziat and Manon Fleury, respectively.

Eight restaurants were honored with two Michelin stars, with standout mentions going to Sylvestre Wahid's boutique restaurant in Courchevel and other exceptional establishments. Additionally, two new restaurants have joined the elite group of 28 three-star restaurants across France, with Jérôme Banctel at Le Gabriel and Fabien Ferré at Hôtel & Spa du Castellet receiving the highest accolade of three stars.

Furthermore, nine establishments were recognized with a green Michelin star for their dedication to sustainable practices and values. This acknowledgment highlights the growing importance of environmental consciousness in the culinary world.
