France rugby squad in isolation ahead of Scotland clash as positive Covid test throws Six Nations match into doubt

France's entire squad are in isolation ahead of the Six Nations clash with Scotland after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.

Gregor Townsend's men are due to face Les Bleus in Paris on February 28 as they look to bounce back from defeat to Wales.

But that could be in doubt after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus, forcing the entire French squad into isolation.

In addition head coach Fabien Galthie will be re-tested after his test returned a non-negative result.

France are due to announce their squad for the Scotland game on Wednesday.

A statement announced: "Following the PCR tests carried out last night in Marcoussis with the France XV, all players tested negative, a member of the technical staff tested positive, as well as a suspicious and unproven result concerning Fabien Galthie who will be tested again this morning.

"In accordance health protocols, all members of the team and management were placed into isolation this morning. Interactions are being kept to a minimum.

"An additional test at the National Rugby Centre will be carried out on Wednesday morning for the entire squad.

"Tests will be carried out at home on Friday, as well as on Sunday evening at the National Rugby Centre."
